Breast feeding or formula? Last weekend, several mothers didn’t have a choice when Angela Sanger-Ginsberg, 32, attempted to nurse their babies without permission in order to make a statement against the stigma of public breastfeeding.
Sanger-Ginsberg, who adamantly proclaims that she will indeed never have children of her own, has been taking a regimen of hormonal supplements in order to prepare her body to nourish the children of mothers who don’t partake in public breastfeeding. For 9 months, she underwent extensive hormone therapy to boost estrogen, progesterone, and human placental lactogen in her body, and last Thursday immediately dropped her estrogen and progesterone levels to trigger her body to produce a rush of prolactin and initiate milk production. But Angela didn’t use this opportunity to utilize an electric breast pump to make human breast-milk gelato like most feminists. Instead, she drove her rover to the park where several new mothers were enjoying the fresh air with their babies.
There, she approached Laura and her husband Orion, and Philip, their 8-month old son. Cooing over the child, she coyly asked the young couple if she could hold the baby. Upon doing so, she slipped her nip over young Pip’s lip.
Angela told us, Sunday, “I saw this woman out here at the park, basically forced to not nurse and sustain her own child. I could tell. Her husband probably shamed her. The other parents in the park would have whispered. The teenage boys over by the basketball court would have snickered. These creepy perverts sexualize and fantasize over a woman’s udders and I need to make a statement that it is normal and beautiful and that needs to be demonstrated to this misogynist world.”
When Laura couldn’t get Angela to stop nursing her child, Orion stepped in to stand by his wife. Both parents felt powerless in the situation, for fear that this strange woman, now barking lyrics from a Ani Defranco song, would harm their baby.
Angela, who had dashed towards a gravel play area after Orion was able to secure his baby from her, explained to reporters while standing on top of a twisty slide in a busy jungle gym, “I don’t expect all men to understand, but we shouldn’t have to apologize just for calling attention to our titties. This is normal!” she screamed as she clenched and rolled her pale breasts in the midday sun among the frightened children and concerned parents.
